Millie The Miracle!

Millie was found alone in a steel mill dragging her back legs at just 6 weeks old and completely incontinent. Her rescuer reached out to Mission Meow, knowing it was a long shot because it’s nearly impossible to find a rescue that can take a paralyzed cat. Mission Meow agreed to take her on and get her the medical care she needed. It was expensive but we got Millie a comprehensive medical workup and concluded she had nerve damage and a low chance of full recovery.

With physical therapy, Millie regained some usage of her back legs, but remained incontinent. Because of her ongoing needs of needing her bowels and bladder expressed multiple times a day, it would be challenging to find a home for her……. After several months we located the perfect adopter and she is thriving today!

 Precious: From Broken to Beloved

Precious was found as a tiny kitten  with a leg so badly broken it hung limp and lifeless—cold to the touch, completely nonfunctional. Because she was so tiny and severely underweight from a heavy flea infestation, she wasn’t healthy enough for surgery right away. But with lots of love (and plenty of food!), she gained strength over several months. Once she reached a safe weight, Precious underwent a successful amputation—and began her new chapter.

At first, her body still moved as if the limb were there, dragging her back end out of habit. But with the help of the wonderful team at Penryn Pet Hospital, she began a gentle rehab plan to retrain her muscles and balance. And in the sweetest turn of events, the vet tech overseeing her recovery fell head-over-heels in love with her—and adopted her!

Precious now has the forever home she deserves, and her journey reminds us that healing doesn’t just happen in the body—it happens in the heart.
